Venezuelan President Maduro orders all airlines to pay for fuel using Petro

posted 6 months ago
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro made it compulsory for airlines flying from the country’s capital to pay for fuel using the Petro. He added that all taxes and utility bills must be paid using the same Petro digital currency.

The mandatory use of Petro for paying bills and buying fuel for airlines may bring some forced adoption. He said businesses accepting dollars instead of petro will be “watched” closely by the government. People are saying that Venezuela is becoming a major hub for Bitcoin.
