US Congress reviews "Payment of choice" law

The Financial Technology Task Force is holding a hearing tomorrow called, "Is Cash Still King? Reviewing The Rise Of Mobile Payments."

The Financial Technology Task Force notes that while Federal law provides that US coins and currency ‘are legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues,’ the law does not require that private businesses accept cash as payment for goods and services.
