UK regulator increases investigations into crypto firms

The UK’s financial regulator has ramped up its formal investigations into cryptocurrency firms. The Financial Conduct Authority investigated 87 firms over the past 12 months, a Freedom of Information request revealed.

This is a significant increase compared to last year, with 50 firms investigated. Some experts have said it is encouraging to see the regulator stepping up its policing of the sector.
