The IRS now asks if you own crypto in the most used tax form

The IRS updated a draft of the main form individual US taxpayers use to report their income to include a question about cryptocurrencies. Friday the IRS circulated a draft of the new Form 1040, Schedule 1, Additional Income and Adjustments to Income.

It says “At any time during 2019, did you receive, sell, send, exchange, or otherwise acquire any financial interest in any virtual currency?”
