Square's Q3 earnings beat Wall Street expectations

San Francisco based Square, run by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, beat analysts' estimates for earnings and revenue in its third-quarter report Wednesday. Here's how the payments company did compared with what Wall Street expected:

Earnings: 13 cents per share vs. 11 cents per share forecast by Refinitiv.
Revenue: $431 million vs. $414 million forecast by Refinitiv.

The company reported its first quarterly profit of $20 million, compared with a net loss of $16 million in the third quarter of last year.
