Shark Tank’s Kevin O’leary invests $100K in passive BTC investment app

Bundil app, a Lawnmower-style application that enables users to invest their spare change in cryptocurrency, won a $100K investment on the tv show Shark Tank. Bundil supports BTC & LTC. Also, Kevin O’Leary demanded 50% of the company in exchange for $100,000. O’Leary reiterated that he would be a 50/50 partner at $100,000. This effectively means that Bundil now has the star power and reach of a famous investor.

Passive investment apps may indeed be extremely important for the viability of cryptocurrency as a whole. Bundil creator Dimitri Love told the sharks: “I thought, ‘Man, you know, anyone that’s trying to invest in cryptocurrency has to go through all these steps to try to figure out how to buy it. And I thought there could be an easier way for it to be done.” Bundil costs $3 per month or $24 per year. It connects to your chosen payment method and slowly grows your Bitcoin balance. For those cautious or cash-strapped, it and other similar methods are potentially the only realistic way to introduce themselves to the important new world that is cryptocurrency.
