Nomura partners with Ledger to launch institutional grade custody services for cryptocurrencies

Japanese merchant bank Nomura has partnered with hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger to set up a new venture to provide safekeeping and custody services for cryptocurrency denominated assets managed by institutional investors.

According to the announcement, the new business unit, Komainu, provides robust safekeeping services for investment houses looking to gain exposure to the rapidly emerging asset class.
