Lightning Pizza lets users order Domino's with Bitcoin for less than 1 cent in fees

A new consumer app enabling anyone in the US to order pizza using Bitcoin via the Lightning Network launched. Lightning Pizza, the latest offering from San Francisco-based Bitcoin payment app Fold, claims to be the “first Nation-wide retail service powered by lightning payments meant to spread utility and spur awareness and adoption.”

Users are able to select pizza from Domino’s for collection or delivery to any US address. Payment is done with Bitcoin, using the Lightning Network, transactions confirm almost instantly with a fee of less than 1 US penny. “Every order is 5% off, <$0.01 transaction fees, instant settlements and ~30min delivery time,” developers promise. Fold already offers users the option to pay for products from Uber, Starbucks and other brands using Bitcoin.
