Japan's BTC exchange bitFlyer raises funds from Sumimoto Mitsui and Mizuho banking corporations, all 3 major banks are among investors now

bitFlyer, Inc., Japan’s largest virtual currency and blockchain company, announced that they have allocated
new shares to third parties Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Group, Mizuho Financial Group, and Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company for fundraising purposes.

In a statmenet, bitFlyer mentioned that exchange intends to strengthen their financial base through these raised funds and accelerate their efforts in the Bitcoin and blockchain space through strategic partnerships with these companies.

It is worth to mention that Mitsubishi UFJ Capital participated in a ¥510 million ($4.5 million) round of funding in August 2015. This means that all three major Japan's banking corporations are among exchange investors now.
