Hong Kong retail outlet Pricerite now accepts Bitcoin via Lightning Network

Amid political protests in Hong Kong, a new retail outlet has begun accepting Bitcoin via Lightning Network. According to Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong via a Facebook announcement, department store Pricerite started to accept payments in BTC and LTC at its new store in Megabox, claiming to be the first retail store in the region to do so.

CEO James Leung said: Customers with Lightning wallets will be able to complete Bitcoin transactions in seconds, and he went on to say “Continuing with our commitment to the integration of advanced technologies with human talent, we adopted a wide range of state-of-the-art retail technologies...”
