The Greek court granted Russia's request for the extradition of Alexander Vinnik, who is suspected of fraud. The decision was taken at the request of the prosecution, who examined the request from the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.

As Vinnik's lawyer explained to Interfax , now the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Justice of Greece will have to decide whether to extradite a detained Russian citizen to Russia or the United States.

October 4, the Greek court has already granted a request for the extradition of Vinnik in the United States. There he is also wanted on charges of fraud with Bitcoins. Russia intended to protest this decision.

In the US, Vinnik is accused of laundering four billion dollars through the BTC-e exchange.
