Crypto-friendly & California-based bank Silvergate experiencing problems with receiving wire transfers

posted 10 months ago
Clients of Silvergate, a popular crypto-friendly bank based in San Diego California, have reported issues with money wires to the firm. Silvergate CEO Alan Lane said wiring issues were due to its payment processor, Finastra, which sits between Silvergate and Fedwire, the real-time settlement network that connects USA banks. One source said that Silvergate is processing orders manually at the moment.

Silvergate, which counts major crypto exchanges like Gemini and Kraken among its clients, serves over 800 crypto-related clients with banking services.
