Crypto exchange Gemini passes security audit conducted by Deloitte

Cryptocurrency exchange and custodian Geminisaid it passed a security compliance review conducted by “Big Four” auditing firm Deloitte. Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss-founded Gemini claims to be the first crypto firm to have successfully completed the System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1 examination.

SOC 2 examines processing users’ data, according to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Also, Gemini said Deloitte inspected its security controls to ensure it meets the trust services criteria set by the AICPA, which includes “security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality or privacy” of the controls.
