Coinmine, producers of BTC mining hardware and software, announced a $2.5 million seed round of financing that was partially led by early Uber investor Shervin Pishevar.

The company has reportedly been growing rapidly, with nearly 10% of customers becoming repeat purchasers, and fewer than 4% of Coinmine One mining devices having been returned. “[T]his latest round of financing will help us accelerate our mission of getting more people to experience how easy it is to earn Bitcoin...” said CEO Farbood Nivi. The machine is operable from Android and iOS mobile apps, and updates over-the-air automatically, “like a Tesla.”
