1.4 billion different people have bought cryptocurrency before according to Kaspersky report

A new survey by Moscow-based cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Lab published June 17th revealed:

19% of people globally have purchased cryptocurrency (Meaning 4 out of every 5 people on earth have never bought cryptocurrency before)

10% of respondents said they “fully understand how cryptocurrencies work”

14% of those who haven’t ever used cryptocurrencies would like to do so in the future

When asked why some investors stopped using cryptocurrencies:
31% cited “too high” volatility, (lack of stability)
23% said “loss of money in the bear market”
23% cited the belief that crypto “is not profitable anymore”
22% cited cryptos "are not backed with real assets"
19% hacks
15% fraud

The Kaspersky team said the adoption of the crypto industry by global consumers been slowing down due to lack a proper understanding of how cryptocurrencies work.
